The ACME Wendral 16 Inch Bookshelf is a leaning ladder bookshelf with five fixed shelves stacked on a slim black metal frame, and its narrow footprint is the whole point. At just 16" wide it slips into the gap beside a doorway or at the end of a hallway, a practical pick for apartment dwellers and anyone furnishing a compact study.

Each of the five shelves is built from paper laminated veneer over MDF in a natural finish, while the straight legs are square metal tube in black. The back is open, so the unit never feels heavy in a room. ACME's Wendral collection comes in three widths, and the ACME Wendral 16 Inch Bookshelf is the slimmest of the group, meant to stand alone or line up beside the wider versions for a run of matching open back shelving. In a Brickell studio, a narrow bookshelf for small spaces like this one holds plants, paperbacks and a speaker without crowding the floor plan.
