Tracing its lines back to the Baroque era, the ACME Vendome Bed is a baroque style bed with an arched, padded headboard, oversized scrolled molding and poster legs at the foot that look carved rather than built. Its most striking version wears a crackled gold patina finish with gold leaf brushed on by hand. It suits a bedroom meant to feel dramatic and a little theatrical.
ACME frames the Vendome in aspen and poplar wood with poly-resin molding and legs, then pads the headboard in PU with button tufting and nailhead trim; on the gold patina bed the buttons are crystal-like. Choose Brass leatherette with Gold Patina, leatherette with Antique Pearl, leatherette with Cherry, or a two tone ivory fabric with Antique Pearl, in Queen, Eastern King or California King. Five slats and five support legs are included, and a box spring is required. As a scrolled poster bed, the ACME Vendome Bed fills a Coral Gables or Naples master bedroom with the presence of an estate piece.
