Tracing its lines back to the Baroque era, the ACME Vendome Accent Chair is a baroque accent chair with an oversized scrolled frame in crackled gold patina, hand-brushed with gold leaf. Crystal-like button tufting fills the arched backrest, and nailhead trim follows the crown, front armrests and base. It suits living rooms that favor grand, carved pieces over quiet minimalism.

Upholstered in bone leatherette, this faux leather armchair pairs a tight back with a loose box seat cushion finished in welt trim. Beneath the cushion sit pocket coils and foam over a solid wood and plywood inside frame, while the scrolled legs and base are poly resin. Rolled armrests carry scrolled molding, and two pillows with contrasting shapes and patterns are included, each with a removable cover. Part of ACME's Vendome collection, the ACME Vendome Accent Chair spans about 48 inches wide, so give it a generous corner in a Coral Gables living room; an accent chair with pillows at this scale becomes a reading throne rather than a side seat.
