Horizontal grooves running across the headboard give the ACME Valdemar Bed the feel of a loft style bed built from stacked brick, softened by a weathered gray finish. That linear pattern is the whole idea, and it suits a bedroom aiming for a relaxed urban look.

The frame is wood with paper veneer over MDF, plywood and chipboard, shaped as a panel bed with a rectangular headboard, raised trim, recessed panels and a low profile footboard on wooden tapered legs. The ACME Valdemar Bed comes in Queen and Eastern King, in the Weathered Gray wood finish or, for the Queen, a version with a brown fabric headboard over the same weathered gray frame. The wood versions use four slats and need a box spring, while the fabric Queen includes twelve slats with support legs and takes a mattress directly. Part of ACME's Valdemar collection with a matching dresser and chest, this weathered gray panel bed fits a Doral townhouse or a Tampa loft equally well.
