Fabric where you expect wood is the idea behind the ACME Valda Mirror, an upholstered mirror wrapped in light gray fabric and outlined with black welt trim. It is made for the Valda dresser and suits buyers who want a soft, plush bedroom rather than a hard edged one.

The frame is composite wood padded and covered in the same light gray fabric used across ACME's Valda collection, with the black welt trim tracing the outline like piping on a cushion. The glass is not beveled, so the fabric border does all the decorative work. At about twenty-eight inches wide and thirty-six inches tall, it is a portrait shaped piece that sits comfortably on the Valda dresser or hangs on a wall. ACME lists it as not compliant with the ASTM F2057-17 and F3096-14 stability standards. In a Hollywood, Florida bedroom with a velvet bench and brass lamps, the ACME Valda Mirror reads as part of the soft furnishings rather than the casegoods, and the light gray fabric frame ties into grey bedding.
