Taller than it is wide, the ACME Valda Chest is an upholstered chest of drawers that stacks five drawers inside a light gray fabric case trimmed in black welt. It suits a bedroom that already uses the Valda dresser and mirror, or a smaller room where a tall bedroom chest makes better use of floor space than a long dresser.

ACME builds the case from composite wood, pads it with polyfoam across the top and covers the whole piece in light gray fabric, with black welt trim running along every edge. The knocked down wooden tapered legs come in a natural finish and stand five inches tall. All five drawers ride on side metal glides without dovetail joinery or felt lining, and the piece is listed as not compliant with ASTM F2057-17 and F3096-14 stability standards. At roughly thirty-two inches wide, it fits a narrow wall. In an Orlando guest room with a grey headboard and white linens, the ACME Valda Chest reads as a padded fabric chest that belongs with the bed rather than against it.
