A wide walnut top on a slim metal frame is the whole story of the ACME Sara Writing Desk, a sled base desk that gives you a generous work surface without bulky side panels. At just over five feet across it leaves room for a monitor, a laptop and a notebook side by side, which makes it a practical choice for remote workers and students alike.

The top, drawer front and back panel share a walnut finish, so the desk looks finished from every angle. Underneath, a square-tube metal sled base in sandy black carries the weight on two runners instead of four legs. One drawer on metal side glides opens two-thirds of the way and closes manually; there is no keyboard tray. For a home office desk with drawer storage that still feels light, the ACME Sara Writing Desk fits a Brickell apartment or a Boca Raton guest room equally well. It belongs to ACME's Sara collection alongside the matching bookshelf, and the walnut writing table ships knocked down for assembly.
