Topped with a little pitched roof over the upper bunk, the ACME Nadine Cottage Bunk Bed turns a twin over twin bunk bed into a playhouse. It is a bed for younger children who want their room to feel like a hideaway, and for parents who want solid pine underneath the charm.
The frame is pine wood in a weathered white finish paired with washed gray accents, and the roofline is purely decorative, so plan on about 19 inches between the peak and a standard nine-foot ceiling. An easy-access guard rail protects the top bunk, the reversible front ladder can be removed or moved to the other side, and 14 slats support each twin mattress. The Nadine is meant to stay stacked and does not separate into two beds; ACME does not recommend adding a trundle, and mattresses are sold separately. This cottage style bunk fits a children's room in Coral Gables, a beach house in Key Biscayne or a grandparents' spare room in Naples, and the ACME Nadine Cottage Bunk Bed arrives in three cartons for assembly.
