A hidden work surface sets the ACME Malachi Lift Top Coffee Table apart. The spring-assisted top lifts up and slides toward the larger side, exposing two storage compartments beneath, which makes this coffee table with storage a good fit for apartments where the sofa doubles as an office.

Built in wood, wood veneer and composite wood with a warm Walnut finish, the table has a transitional look with a faux drawer front and a 7-inch apron. Wooden tapered legs carry an open bottom shelf, and ACME lists caster wheels with the shelf for extra display or storage. The top sits about 20 inches high when closed and rises to about 30 inches when raised. Part of ACME's Malachi collection, the ACME Malachi Lift Top Coffee Table ships knocked down and requires assembly. In an Orlando condo living room, this walnut coffee table holds a laptop at the right height during the day and tucks everything away by evening.
