Soft gray fabric on warm tapered legs is the simple formula behind the ACME Madan Side Chair Set of 2, one that suits most contemporary dining rooms. Each padded back side chair is armless with a high back, and the light gray linen dining chair reads calm and neutral next to wood, glass or marble tables.

Seat and backrest are padded with two inches of foam under a light gray linen in a multi-tone weave, built as a box seat over a wood apron, and the tapered wood legs measure a sturdy 1.6 inches thick. ACME pairs the fabric with a Gray Oak finish on the wood, so the whole chair stays in one soft palette. Picture the ACME Madan Side Chair Set of 2 around a walnut table in a Key Biscayne kitchen; the gray oak dining chair adapts to it easily. The pair belongs to ACME's Madan collection and arrives knocked down for assembly.
