Designed for a young girl's room, the ACME Lacey Bookcase is a low white kids bookcase with one adjustable shelf that splits the case into two compartments. The shelf sits in any of three positions, so picture books, a lamp and a row of stuffed animals can each find a level that fits, which makes it a practical first piece for a nursery that will grow into a big-kid bedroom.

The case is wood with a crisp white finish, and the wooden tapered legs lift it off the floor so the rug stays visible underneath. It belongs to ACME's Lacey collection, a bedroom group known for nickel rosette knobs, queen Anne legs and floral felt-lined drawers, and the bookcase picks up the same sweet, slightly traditional feel without fussy trim. As a girls bedroom bookcase it pairs naturally with the Lacey bed and dresser, yet it also works alone under a window as a toy ledge. In a Kendall townhouse the ACME Lacey Bookcase can anchor a reading corner beside a small armchair.
