Wide planks laid edge to edge give the ACME Juniper Bed the look of a butcher block, carried across a rectangular headboard and a low profile footboard. It is a plank pattern bed for people who like solid-looking modern furniture without ornament.

The frame is wood, veneer and composite wood in a Dark Cherry finish, resting on thick wooden block legs that echo the plank motif. Offered in Eastern King, it comes with three slats and requires a box spring, so plan on a standard foundation beneath the mattress. ACME's Juniper collection includes matching case goods with center under-mount metal glides and single metal pulls, so a whole bedroom can follow the same butcher block style bed language. The dark cherry king bed measures eighty inches wide, which fills a primary bedroom in a Kendall ranch house or a Coral Gables Mediterranean without crowding the nightstands. Place the ACME Juniper Bed against a pale wall and the plank grain does the decorating.
