Benches usually ask you to sit up straight, but the ACME Jaramillo Bench adds a padded back cushion so dinner guests can lean back and linger. That is its defining idea: an upholstered dining bench with the comfort of a chair, which suits families who seat three on one side of the table and want everyone to stay through dessert.

ACME upholsters the seat and back in black chenille and sets them on a wood and metal frame in a weathered black finish, a combination that reads modern with an industrial edge. The bench is 62" wide, long enough for the Jaramillo dining table it was designed to accompany, and the same weathered finish style carries across the full collection. As a black chenille bench, it also works at the foot of a bed or along an entry wall when the dining room is not its home. In a Hialeah or Doral kitchen with concrete floors and open shelving, the dark fabric and metal feel right at home. For buyers comparing a bench with back cushion against standard dining chairs, the ACME Jaramillo Bench offers the comfort of the latter in the footprint of the former.
