Simple lines and a pair of practical finishes make the ACME Heartland Bunk Bed a twin over twin bunk bed that fits a shared kids' room without crowding it. The defining feature is that it is a convertible bunk bed: the two twins separate into stand-alone beds when the children outgrow sharing. It is built for families planning a room that will change over the years.

Both twin beds include a 14-slat system, so no box spring is required. A right-facing front ladder leads to the upper bunk, which has an easy access guard rail, and there are 33 inches between the top and bottom rails for sitting up on the lower bed. Constructed from wood, wood veneer and composite wood, the ACME Heartland Bunk Bed comes in White or Espresso, and a trundle or storage drawers from ACME's Heartland collection can be added separately underneath. In a Kendall home with two children in one room, the white version keeps the space bright and the modern, simple frame leaves room for color elsewhere.
