Sized for older kids and adults, the ACME Eclipse XL Futon Bunk Bed stacks a twin XL bunk above a queen futon, the key difference from the standard version. It is a twin XL over queen futon bunk, a sofa by day and a queen size futon bunk bed by night. It suits guest rooms, studio apartments and teen bedrooms.
The frame is 2" metal tube in a Black finish, built as one C-shaped unit that cannot be separated into two beds. A slat system is included, with 20 slats plus a crossbar on the top bunk and 18 slats on the futon level. Two side ladders are built in and a full-length guard rail secures the upper bed. The top requires a twin XL mattress at 39" by 80"; mattresses are not included. Part of ACME's Eclipse collection, the ACME Eclipse XL Futon Bunk Bed makes sense in a Tampa rental where one room has to sleep three. This black metal bunk bed pairs easily with any bedding color.
