Country-house curves define the ACME Chelmsford End Table, a rectangular wood end table whose scrolled bottom shelf gives it a second surface for baskets or books. The scalloped apron and wooden cabriole legs make it a cabriole leg side table in the classic sense, and it suits a living room furnished with a rolled-arm sofa and traditional lamps.

The top is wood set within a scalloped wooden frame, and the apron follows the same shaped edge, so the carving reads from the sofa side as well as the front. Below, the scrolled bottom shelf is framed by the four cabriole legs. The whole piece wears an antique taupe finish, a muted gray-brown that is softer than espresso. It ships knock-down for assembly and belongs to ACME's Chelmsford collection, which includes matching dining chairs. Beside a sofa in a Naples living room, the ACME Chelmsford End Table holds a lamp on top and a stack of magazines on the shelf.
