The ACME Chelmsford Bed is an upholstered panel bed that pairs a tall arched headboard with a low footboard, so the bed feels grand at the head and open at the foot. Its traditional curves make it a fit for anyone furnishing a classic bedroom around a solid wood frame.

Both the headboard and footboard are padded in beige fabric, with a button tufted headboard finished in nailhead trim and raised molding around the frame. Wooden cabriole legs carry the piece, and the wooden side rails attach with double bolt-in hardware for a rigid frame. The construction mixes solid wood with mindy wood veneer, and slats support the mattress, though a box spring is required. Sizes run Queen, Eastern King and California King, and the wood shows in either Antique Taupe or Antique Black against the beige upholstery. It belongs to ACME's Chelmsford collection alongside the matching chest. In a Kendall master bedroom the ACME Chelmsford Bed reads as warm and classic in taupe, or more formal in antique black.
