Tapered oak legs and a full box seat with button tufting give the ACME Charla Bench a quiet nod to craftsman-era furniture without feeling dated. The defining detail is the slatted shelf beneath the seat, which turns a simple bench into a landing spot for shoes, baskets or folded towels. It suits entryways, bedrooms and bathrooms alike.

The padded seat cushion is upholstered in polyester fabric and tufted in a grid, and four fabric colours are offered: beige, gray, light gray and light blue, each paired with the same oak finish on the legs and shelf. Eight inches separate seat and shelf, enough for a pair of sneakers or a small bin. As a bench with slatted shelf storage, the ACME Charla Bench belongs to ACME's Charla collection and suits a West Palm Beach mudroom where wood tones and soft neutrals meet. Buyers after a button tufted bench with old-house character, or a craftsman style entry bench for daily use, should find the proportions right. It ships knocked down for assembly.
