Compact and square, the ACME Chafik End Table gives a sofa or armchair a 19-inch-wide surface for a lamp, a phone and a glass of something cold. Its chrome metal legs and natural oak top make it a fit for a contemporary living room that keeps surfaces sparse.

Paper veneer in a Natural Oak tone covers the engineered wood top, and a narrow metal apron trim runs beneath the edge to tie the top to the base. The sled-style legs are square metal tube in a chrome finish, formed as runners rather than four separate posts. No storage is built in, which keeps this square end table light enough to shift beside a recliner. Together with the Chafik coffee table and sofa table from the same ACME collection, this oak and chrome side table completes a matching living room set. Set beside a sectional in a Doral townhouse, the ACME Chafik End Table holds its own against both pale and dark upholstery. It arrives knocked down.
