Standing over six feet tall, the ACME Cargo Bookcase is an industrial metal bookcase built to look like the side of a shipping container, right down to the lock bar. It suits home offices, studios and living rooms where books, records and plants need a strong vertical home with real character.

The entire case is iron plate finished in white, with nine open compartments spread across nine metal shelves, so heavy stacks of books sit on metal rather than particleboard. The piece sits flat on the floor with no legs, which keeps it stable and makes it easy to anchor to a wall. The ACME Cargo Bookcase comes in white only and is part of ACME's Industrial Metal Cargo collection, matching the Cargo dining table with its container-style pedestal, sold separately. A white metal bookshelf this size can stand alone in a Coconut Grove home office in Miami. Assembly is required, and the nine compartments make this container style shelving as useful for baskets and decor as for books.
