Chess, checkers and backgammon live inside the ACME Bishop II Game Table, a square 3-in-1 game table with a reversible game tray measuring 20" by 20". The idea is a proper board that stays set up on its own furniture, which suits families, retirees and anyone who would rather play across a table than on a phone screen.
The top is wood with clipped corners, and the apron hides two drawers for storing pieces and dice between games. Flip the tray one way for chess or checkers and the other for backgammon. A pedestal base in poly-resin carries the top, finished in cherry to match the rest of the piece, and the whole table ships knocked down in a single carton. ACME files the Bishop II under its gaming tables, and the ACME Bishop II Game Table gets used rather than admired. In a Naples den with leather club chairs on either side, this pedestal game table becomes the corner everyone drifts toward after dinner.
