Bedside storage gets the chateau treatment in the ACME Ariadne Nightstand, an antique platinum nightstand with the intricate carvings that run through the whole Ariadne bedroom. The reflective platinum finish over Rococo-inspired detail is the design idea, and it suits traditional bedrooms built around a wingback bed with crystal-like button tufting.

Wood and composite wood form the case, with resin used for the carved ornament that would be difficult to cut by hand. The top drawers are lined in felt to protect watches and jewelry, the drawer boxes are joined with dovetails at the French front and English back, and safety stops keep a drawer from sliding all the way out. At 30 inches wide and 30 inches tall, the ACME Ariadne Nightstand has enough surface for a lamp and a book, and it carries the same Antique Platinum finish as the matching dresser and mirror in ACME's Ariadne collection. A carved traditional nightstand like this flanks a bed in a Coral Gables estate or a Boca Raton primary suite, and a nightstand with felt lined drawers earns its keep every night.
